Cutie pie!

Helena's parents enjoyed a lovely weekend away over President's Day to wine country in Paso Robles. We went with our friends Freddy, Kelly, their extended family and friends, and Aunt Kristi. We enjoyed wine at many beautiful wineries, wonderful meals, and lots of laughs and breathtaking scenery. It was also nice to sleep in past 6 or 7 am! Grandma Jan and Aunt Nan watched the little one while we enjoyed our first vacation since Helena's arrival.

It's been an extremely busy time in the Samson household, and we have not had time to update the blog in several months! Sarah has gone back to her teaching job, and while she misses the little lady desperately, she is enjoying being back at a job she loves. Grandma Jan has come to the rescue and has been watching Helena. She has been a complete lifesaver, and we could not have done it without her. Matt is extremely busy with his new PR job and working at the restaurant. Little Miss Helena Keate is absolutely unfazed by the changes in the house and loves having time with her grandma. She has four teeth now (Helena, not her grandma!), she's eating all kinds of foods, and she can sit up on her own (with pillows behind her since she sometimes still topples over!) She really wants to crawl and is currently working on that skill. Here are some recent pictures of Helena (7-8 mos).
