Helena has enjoyed a wonderful visit with both grandparents now. First, with Grandma and Grandpa Achbach and now with Gigi and Grandad Samson. Here are some shots from the week with the Samsons. We have had lots of fun and enjoyed many outings including shopping and eating at the Grove Farmer's Market (this is where you see Helena in her sling), eating dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant and many errands and walks in our neighborhood. Helena has the four best grandparents ever! They have all been so helpful and we could not have done it without them.

Helena made quite an outing this past 4th of July! Matt's friend, Josh, is the general contractor on the renovations of Johnny Carson's old Malibu beach house and we all received a guided tour of the home and property yesterday-- it was very fancy! Matt and my mom got to swim in Johnny Carson's old pool and we all enjoyed lounging around the pool and looking at the beautiful oceanfront views. We had a great time and Helena couldn't have behaved better as she slept through most of it!

Apparently, the woman who bought Carson's old house (for a cool $40 million) bought it for her husband as a SURPRISE and is renovating it for another $9 million before she presents it to him. The last time I bought Matt a surprise it was a box of candy from Target. Ah well, it was nice to see how the other half lives for a day!
