Helena turns 2!!!! It's hard to believe, but our little lady is 2 years old. We had a small celebration at the house with just our family on the actual day. Her big birthday pool party is next weekend and several of her little friends will be attending. Mommy and Daddy are praying for sunshine! More pictures to come of the big party.....

Summertime has officially arrived! Here are a few early summer shots of Helena enjoying the swimming pool, playtime with her friends, painting, and eating a hot dog!

Happy Easter! Helena had a wonderful Easter including two Easter egg hunts, one in the morning at home and one in the afternoon at her friend Casey's house. Our friends Brooke and Alan hosted a wonderful Easter brunch and egg hunt in their backyard. Casey and Helena couldn't have been cuter running around the yard looking for eggs and goodies decked out in their finest Easter outfits.

Helena got a visit from her two favorite babysitters, Ruth and Maryella, this past weekend. Ruth and Maryella are two of my all-time favorite former students from Kennedy and are currently freshmen at UCSD. People always look shocked when I tell them that I willingly taught high school students, but here are two reasons why. They are both the most lovely, genuine, intelligent, funny young women you will ever meet. Helena is very lucky to have them as two of her first babysitters. We miss them terribly, but love the fact that they are close enough to LA to come visit on many a weekend. As you can see, Helena loved cuddling with them and basking in all the attention.
