Helena's second date with Finn Ortiz! Finn was ever the gentleman paying attention to our little lady....while Helena couldn't take her eyes off the camera taking pictures of her.....what a little ham!

Here's a shot of the California sky clouded with the smoke of the wildfires. This was taken at about 4 in the afternoon instead of what looks like 6 or 7 pm. We are nowhere near any of the fires...I know a lot of friends and family have been calling. We are completely safe. However, city officials are suggesting that all people (especially the elderly and those with babies) stay indoors because the air quality is so poor. Therefore, Helena and I have been quarantined inside all day reading "The Very Busy Spider" more times than I care to recall. She likes to turn the pages of the cardboard books we have for her.

Somebody help me....my mom won't stop dressing me up!

Helena has just discovered the fun of playing in her Johnny Jumper. Special thanks to cousin Ana Sofia who loaned us this fabulous toy/swing. Helena is a bit young for this, but can happily bounce with the help and support of mom and dad. Soon she'll be bouncing on her own! She likes listening to music and bouncing up and down on her legs. She seems really amazed that she can move 360 degrees around in each direction.....so cute!
